Welcome to Fort Walton Yacht Club


established in 1951

The Fort Walton Yacht Club was established in 1951 before the City of Fort Walton Beach incorporated “Beach” into the name of the city. Since then, the Fort Walton Yacht Club has been the place for sailors, boaters, & families to come together to enjoy each other's company while taking in the first-class culinary program and entertainment provided by the club.   

Fort Walton Yacht Club is a private club for Members only. Located on Smack Point at the western end of Choctawhatchee Bay on the Emerald Coast of Florida and connecting to the Gulf of Mexico through the East Pass also known as the Destin Pass. The amenities include a Clubhouse that serve both fast-causal dining and elegant dining experiences, a marina, swimming pool, wet & dry slips, and boasts a rich history of boating and sailing programs.  

The clubhouse located on Smack Point which is surrounded by the Choctawhatchee Bay. It connects to the Gulf of Mexico thought the East Pass also known as the Destin Pass on the Emerald Coast of Florida.

Regatta Registration

The FYWC is home to many Regattas throughout the year. From the Meigs Regatta, celebrated for its spirited social gathering and the strong camaraderie shared among sailors, to local regattas, including the Wednesday Night Fun Races.

To register for a regatta, go to the Sailing Regatta tab under boating. Locate the regatta you are interested in. If the registration is open, click the Notice of Race/Registration link to sign up and for additional information.
